Homeopathy Consultation & What to expect?
Your first homeopathic consultation will take 1-2 hours. It will be quite a different experience from any conventional consultation! My job as a homeopath is to listen carefully as you speak about your health problems, and to gain a thorough understanding of your health and the exact symptoms you are experiencing. Following on from that I will have questions for you in order to build up a complete picture taking into account information such as medical and family history including any hereditary or latent diseases, personality traits, stress triggers, energy levels, likes and dislikes, lifestyle factors etc. This paints a portrait, if you like, and the task at hand then becomes finding a homeopathic remedy that reflects that portrait as closely as possible. Because homeopathy looks at the whole symptom picture, people who have the same diagnosed illness e.g. arthritis of knee, are each likely to need different individualised treatment. It is important to note that symptoms you may think of as unusual or unimportant may be of great value to your homeopath. Based on the information you share with me I will prescribe a homeopathic remedy. Remedy will either given to you at the end of consultation or else it will be posted out to you within a week.
Follow-Up Appointment – will be scheduled four week after the initial consultation. It allows the homeopath to assess and evaluate your progress and response to remedy. Depending on this assessment decisions about subsequent prescriptions, potency selections and/ or adjustments, repetitions etc. will be considered.

Homeopathy treatment with a registered homeopath is eligible for reimbursement with certain insurance companies. Check with your insurance provider for further details.

“As it wasn’t my first time visiting Margaret for homeopathy treatment, I contacted her over the phone for help as I had a bad bout of food poisoning which I assumed was from eating shell fish. I was very weak and my stomach was “on fire” with profuse diarrhoea and vomiting. As usual Margaret was very helpful and made subtle inquiries about my condition.
